Job Description

Title: Shipping & Receiving Coordinator

Classification/Job Grade: Hourly

Location: Battle Creek, MI

Department: Distribution

Supervised by: Logistics Supervisor

Job Summary

S/R Coordinator will assume a variety of responsibilities. Performing day to day activities involving customer service support to assigned accounts, establishing shipping and receiving schedules, and coordinating other functions related to the UHT distribution center. The position will require strong organizational and prioritization abilities. The coordinator will work alongside distribution center leadership, the sales group, and operations to efficiently establish the daily work requirements in the department.

Hours: Monday-Tuesday, 6PM-6AM, Friday 12AM-6AM, Saturday 6PM-6AM

Primary Responsibilities

  • Sign drivers in and out.
  • Keep "white board" updated with incoming trailers
  • Check back haul sheets and ETA's
  • Input all customer profiles, data entry & orders
  • Provide accurate feedback to the Manager with regard to customer complaints
  • Track shorts of assigned customers
  • Set appointments for all outgoing and incoming loads
  • Track and update appointments in ASC
  • Input and update inventory in ASC
  • Answer incoming calls
  • Follows all company policies and procedures regarding GMPs, SOPs and Quality standards.
  • Demonstrates problem solving and decision making ability regarding day to day operations
  • Effectively utilize time available to achieve results through control over ongoing projects and prioritizing demands.
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in essential tasks of the job and a willingness to learn and share knowledge
  • Other duties as assigned or required

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Strong communication skills
  • Microsoft Excel experience
  • Good management and organizational skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
