Job Description

Utilities One is actively seeking a skilled Auto Mechanic with 2-3 years of hands-on experience working specifically with bucket trucks and heavy equipment such as bores and vac trailers . The ideal candidate is a reliable, motivated individual capable of diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of large machinery used in the utility and drilling industries across Oregon and Washington.



Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical issues on heavy-duty vehicles, including bucket trucks, drilling machines, bores, vac trailers, and other specialized utility equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and brake servicing.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems using appropriate diagnostic tools and software.
  • Conduct field repairs and ensure all vehicles and machinery remain compliant with operational and safety standards.
  • Document all maintenance activities, parts usage, and repairs accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with team members to prioritize service requests and maintain an efficient repair schedule.
  • Travel to various job sites across Oregon and Washington to provide on-site support and repairs.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2-3 years of mechanical experience, specifically with bucket trucks and heavy equipment .
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the region.
  • Ability to work independently in outdoor environments and under varying weather conditions.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
